ABOUT
Vivek Haria is a British composer and writer of Indian heritage, based in London. His repertoire spans choral and chamber works, blending traditional and contemporary elements to create a unique sound world.
Vivek’s music is deeply influenced by his heritage and personal experiences. A notable highlight includes a new composition for internationally acclaimed musicians Mahan Esfahani and Fenella Humphreys, premiered at the Cheltenham Composer Academy in 2022.
In recent years, he has collaborated with ensembles including the BBC Singers and the London Symphony Orchestra, where he participated as an Associate on their Soundhub scheme. His latest work for The Marian Consort, recorded in partnership with Choir & Organ Magazine, was recently released as part of their 2024 New Music Series.
Vivek read Music at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he studied composition with Raymond Yiu and Richard Causton. He continues to be mentored by Brian Elias.
Beyond his musical pursuits, Vivek is an emerging writer exploring the intersection of art, technology, and culture.
In addition to his musical career, Vivek is an emerging writer, exploring the intersection of art, technology, and culture. He is training to become a chartered accountant and is a proud member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s inaugural NewGen Board.
